If you are reading this blog then chances are you know who Patrick Adams is and need little introduction to the amazing body of his work. If you don't know who he his, then you have probably heard one of his productions with out even knowing. He has worked with everyone from Sister Sledge, Leroy Burgess, Loleatta Holloway, R. Kelly, Keith Sweat, Salt-N-Pepa, Herbie Mann, Rick James, and the list goes on and on. To put it simple he is a fucking genius. His early work is something that especially stands out. His productions have a bit of the dirty true underground sound to them but maintain a very soulful and think stewy funk. Every time I throw down Patty Duke it always amazes me how fucking heavy the drums. And sputurring synths and a loose attitude in the mix and you got yourself a summer jam to make everyone move. I have also included Universal Robot Band's "Dance and Shake Your Tambourine" to show how consistent Mr. Adams is behind the knobs. There are numerous comps devoted to the man and I highly recommend getting those. Cheers Patrick Adams.
