And now for something completely different...

So I was just informed that the Snowy Red link is a bust. Will try and get it woking here again soon. In the meantime enjoy this gem from 77. Shoes was a band from Zion, Illinois that consisted of brothers Jeff and John Murphy and long time highschool pal Gary Klebe. Considered to be high on the scale of American Power Pop it is easy to realize why this album is highly sought after. Often compared to the likes of Big Star and the Raspberries I tend to gravitate towards the lo-fi pop mentality of bands such as the Jesus and Mary Chain and middle period My Bloody Valentine even though it's some 7 to 8 years before these bands would stumble upon those grounds. So here it is Black Vinyl Shoes by Shoes.

Belgian Darkness

Here is a real good synth burner from Belgian act Snowy Red. Mostly the work of Micky Mike he would have several releases through out the 80's and would help to form the fondations for Belgian New Beat. This is one of the best records from the Brussel's synth/post punk movement. Download The Right To Diehttp://www.mediafire.com/?zozm44tnjkz
